Tiptree Community Centre is at 1a Caxton Close and is run by Tiptree Parish Council. The main hall, the Webb Hall, takes up to 200 people and comes with the kitchen. The smaller Elliott Hall takes up to 50.
The centre can be hired until 11pm, or 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Two rules to know before you plan: the hirer must be 21 or over, and the council does not take bookings for 18th or 21st birthday parties.
Making the most of the Webb Hall
A stage can be hired as an extra, and it is a good place for the DJ in a room this size. I bring my larger speakers for 150 or more guests. Tiptree is about 20 minutes from Colchester.
