The McGrigor Hall is at 85 Fourth Avenue in Frinton. It belongs to the Women’s Institute and is looked after by a volunteer committee. For seven weeks every summer it becomes the Frinton Summer Theatre, so it is not available for parties then.
The hall holds about 220 people. Hire includes heating, lighting and the fitted kitchen, and there are tables and chairs. You are expected to clear up and take your rubbish away at the end.
What that means for your evening
Agree a hire that leaves time after the music stops for me to pack away and for you to tidy the hall. I bring sound, lighting and a microphone. Frinton is 35 to 40 minutes from Colchester, a little longer on a summer Saturday.
