Lexden Wood Golf Club is on Bakers Lane on the west side of Colchester. It was called Playgolf Colchester for some years and has now returned to the Lexden Wood name.
Functions are held in the Lexden Suite. The club says the full suite takes up to 200 people and the half suite up to 75, and it offers the room on a hire-only basis with no compulsory packages. There is also a games bar on the first floor.
What that means for the music
With room-only hire you choose your own entertainment, but confirm that with the club when you book, because terms change. For the full suite I bring my larger speakers and a wide lighting rig. For the half suite a compact set-up is plenty. It is ten minutes from me, so a site visit before your date is easy to arrange.
