Layer Marney Tower is the tall Tudor gatehouse you can see across the fields between Tiptree and Colchester. The house, gardens and barns are hired privately for weddings and functions all year, and the Tower does its own catering.
It is one of the closest venues of its kind to me, 15 minutes from Colchester.
Music at the Tower
Ask the wedding team where the evening party will be and what time music finishes. I bring sound, lighting and a microphone, and I am careful with cables and stands in a building this old.
