Milsoms Kesgrave Hall is a Georgian house in woodland off Hall Road at Kesgrave. Weddings and big parties are held in The Hangar, a large separate building in the grounds, and the venue hosts one wedding a day.
It is 30 to 35 minutes from Colchester, straight up the A12 and round the A14.
Filling a big room
The Hangar is a tall, open space. It needs more speaker than a hotel function room and it rewards good lighting, so I bring my larger rig. I agree arrival, set-up position and finish time with the events team in advance.
