Braintree Golf Club is on King’s Lane at Stisted, off the A120 on the Colchester side of Braintree. The clubhouse takes function and event bookings as well as looking after its members.
From Colchester it is a simple drive along the A120, usually under half an hour.
What I bring
Clubhouse function rooms tend to have low ceilings and a bar close to the dance floor, so I use a compact rig that fills the floor without drowning out the bar. You get a sound system, lighting, a wireless microphone and me taking requests on the night. I will check with the club where they want the DJ and what time the music has to stop.
Frequently asked questions
Does Braintree Golf Club hire out for private parties?
The club takes function and event bookings. Phone the clubhouse on 01376 346079 to ask about dates and what is included.
Do you do birthdays and anniversaries as well as weddings?
Yes. Golf clubs are popular for 40ths, 50ths, 60ths and anniversary parties, and I play as many of those as I do weddings.
